Put your teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test with our exciting raft-building challenge!
Using barrels, wooden spars, and ropes, your team will need to design and construct a sturdy raft capable of staying afloat. Once built, it’s time to take to the water and see if your creation holds up—or if you’ll be getting a little wetter than expected!
This activity is perfect for developing communication, leadership, and resilience as teams work together to refine their designs and improve their knot-tying techniques. Whether racing against another team or simply testing your raft’s durability, you’re guaranteed plenty of fun and adventure.
Rafting kit hire includes equipment for building up to two rafts.
Please meet by the Lake for instructor led, or stop by the office before your session if you are rafting or using your own instructor.
Price available to Scout and Guide members only.
Price includes all equipment. With Linnet Clough instructor (additional cost of £50.00 ) or self-led with appropriate qualification.
Activities must be properly supervised.
All activities requiring Linnet Clough instructors are subject to availability.
Where your own instructors are provided, evidence of the appropriate permits, authorisations or qualifications must be provided. For Scout groups using water activities, please see P.O.R. for rules on activities using C class waters. Please call the office if further clarification is needed.
All losses and breakages to equipment will be charged at replacement cost.
Activities are charged for time booked, not actual time used if this is less.
