Linnet Clough is in an enviable position, being situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park but within easy reach of the lively market town of Stockport and the bustling City of Manchester.

The National Park gives ample opportunity for walking and mountain biking, which can be done right from the door – with the correct permits of course! We make an ideal base for expeditions too. There are some of the best gritstone crags in the UK within an easy drive. If you need help organising instructors, we can put you in touch with some of our local contacts.

  • Staircase House, visit a beautifully restored 15th century townhouse situated in Stockport’s historic Market Place.
  • Stockport Art Gallery is a vibrant, contemporary art space which hosts regular exhibitions in all four of its galleries.
  • Hat Works is the UK’s only museum dedicated to the hatting industry, hats and headwear.

  • Knowsley Safari Park, enjoy there incredible 5-mile Safari Drive, then slow things down by parking for free and exploring the Foot Safari with a standard Knowsley Safari ticket. Animal talks and displays are included with standard tickets.
  • Stockport Swimming Baths, family-friendly sessions which include floats for you to enjoy. Slide access is also available during these sessions. Swimmers must be at least eight years of age and be able to swim 25m unaided to access the inflatable, and at least 1.1m tall in addition for the slides.
